YOYO QUILT

"Cariño, ten cuidado, que la guata es traicionera" sabio consejo de mi madre mientras intentabamos cuadrar entre las dos el frontal, la trasera y el relleno.

Hace como año y medio, ayudada por mi madre y la madre de MrI, comence a hacer redondelitos ("yoyos" o como se llamen) con la idea de confeccionar unas fundas de cojin y unas cortinas para mi dormitorio. Consegui reunir como un millar de yoyos o asi. A MrI no le hacia mucha gracia la idea de unas cortinas yoyo quilt, supongo que no lo veria muy viril o algo ;) era mas bien un poco cursi pero a mi si me gustaban asi que segui cosiendo hasta que buscando telas para hacer las cortinas del resto de la casa encontre una que me gusto muchisimo para las del dormitorio asi que abandone los diez mil yoyos, los arrincone en una bolsa y colgue mis preciosas cortinas de flores negras, que por cierto a MrI le parecieron mucho mas bonitas. Y alli se quedaron durante meses los jodios yoyos con todo el material que necesitaba para convertirlos en algo util , que pena me daba cada vez que encontraba la bolsa donde estaban guardados!! pero como no tenia muy claro que hacer con ellos... Hasta que un dia mi prima los vio le gustaron y me pidio que los convirtiera en algo para ella, le dije que le haria unos cojines y una colchita y se quedo encantadisima. Por fin estan terminados y con ganas de viajar a la isla de enfrente, Tenerife, donde esta viviendo mi prima.

Half and a year ago or so I , helped by my mother and MrI's, start to make "yoyos" to sewing some yoyo quilt cushions and curtains for my bedroom. I got at least a million of those. MrI dind't like the project very much, I supose it was not so manly or something ;) but I liked it so I keep on sewing until, by chance, looking for some more fabrics to sew the rest of the flat curtains I found one I love to use for my bedroom's, by the way MrI also love this fabric, so I gave up the project, put all the yoyos in a bag and forgot about them. It was a pitty cos I had all the material I need to turn them into something useful, the problem was that I just didn't know what useful thing it could be. But one day my cousin saw them and ask me If I could make something with them for her, I though I could sew some cushions and a blanket, she was so happy with the idea... Now the project is over and the stuff ready to travel to the opposite island, Tenerife, where my cousin is living right now.
